Match times

Please take a look at both of the attached files and look for your match time(s). Plan on arriving at the courts at least 30 minutes before your scheduled match time. Once you get to the courts, check in with a member of the Fort Greene Tennis Association (see our mugshots if you're not sure what we look like) to let them know you have arrived.

Scoring

This year we will be using Fast4 scoring (with a couple minor modifications) at least until the quarterfinals of each draw. Here's how Fast4 scoring works:

  • Matches are best of three Fast4 sets. For the first two sets, the first to 4 games wins.

  • At one set all, play a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a full third set. 10-point tiebreakers are: first to 10 points wins with win-by-2 scoring.

  • We will play with ad scoring.

  • If a set goes to 4 games all, play a regular 7-point tiebreaker to decide the set. 7-point tiebreakers are: first to 7 points wins and with win-by-2 scoring.

Once you're on court

After you've signed in, we will assign you and your opponent to an open court. Please bring your own can of balls for each match and use only one can. The winner will take the unused can and use it for the next match.

Warm ups will be 5 minutes and please keep in mind that we have lots of matches scheduled this weekend so let’s keep play moving.

Once you finish, report your score and stick around to watch more tennis!
