Kings County Tennis League and FGTA are hosting a pickleball tournament and social event to raise money to expand KCTL's programming to Ingersoll Houses and resurface Fort Greene Courts in 2019.
Come out to play pickleball or meet up with your friends for a night of music, food and drinks at Court 16's Long Island City Location.
The event will include merchandise sales and a silent auction with prizes including:
Court time at McCarren for winter tennis
Tennis program at Total Tennis
Gift certificates at local restaurants
Racket stringing and more...

The Tournament - The pickleball tournament will feature 20 teams from both FGTA and KCTL in a round robin format. Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the US. This paddle and wiffleball sport is perfect for players of all levels and combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Each team is guaranteed at least 3 matches and a chance to play for glory and the trophy in the finals. Learn more about pickleball here.
Tickets and Registration - Cost for the tournament is $250 per team. Teams of two can donate or raise $250 via Crowdrise or Facebook Fundraiser. Register now as these slots will go quickly. Food and drink is included in team registration.
For those not playing in the pickleball event, tickets are $50.
Getting There - Never been to LIC? Or maybe you're an old hand. Either way, it's super easy to get to Court 16's location. LIC is a transportation hub served by 8 subway lines, 13 bus lines, the East River Ferry, Citibike, and the Long Island Rail Road. Court 16 is located in the bright-yellow warehouse adjacent to the Queensboro Bridge. If you're taking the subway, look for Queensboro Plaza, 21st St. Queens-Bridge, Court Square, Queens Plaza on subway lines : F, M, N, W, R, 7, E, G
